Just finished the daily update call. My father has pneumonia. Of course, the hospital system isn’t set up to provide any detailed information to families, so my mother and sister in law are going to pester them tomorrow for a meeting with a doctor.
She is starting to say he probably won’t be well enough to live at home again.
@kdfrawg I’ve never really managed it either. Even when I did long car journeys alone I generally preferred music.

@peemee I haven’t seen any snow for a few years, though we do get a little occasionally. We’re further south and west than Yorkshire. When I was a child, we used to visit the Yorkshire side of the family in the summer, to avoid snowy pennines, and the Lancashire side in the winter to avoid the summer seaside crowds.
@peemee My latitude is 51.3, but the winter temperatures aren’t much different from yours. Our winters are probably wetter.
@kdfrawg He still seems to feel that what he has is worth hanging around for. That’s more than I manage some days.
@kdfrawg Feeding tubes are one of the things that people with PSP often have to decide on. Luckily he is still able to make that decision himself. Otherwise, as we have power of attorney, it would be up to my brother & I to decide, but because my father hates talking about these things, he hasn’t said what he’d want, so we’d have to guess.
