@kdfrawg He thinks he should be home now. The consultant said another week. And then all the others have to make sure things are manageable at home.

@kdfrawg I’m lucky enough never to have done it, but everyone I know who has wanted to get out as soon as possible, whereas several people who moved very reluctantly into care homes actually preferred it to not being able to manage at home.

@kdfrawg I imagine so. And he still keeps choking when he eats and drinks, even if that’s not what caused the pneumonia.

@JeremyCherfas By inhaling your food and drink because you can’t swallow properly. I suppose you’re in some community when you do it, but it’s not an infection caught from another person. I think there are some other non-infectious ones, but I haven’t had cause to read up on those.
@joanna Also, he’s seriously dischuffed at not being able to come home immediately.
