@kdfrawg That’s the plan. We’ve booked Saturday lunch at a place where the terrace has a nice view, the food’s good, and they like dogs.

//

Brother & his wife are coming tomorrow for the weekend. How we can give them a nice time.

// @kdfrawg

@kdfrawg They’re going to give my father a nasogastric feeding tube. I think a combination of the illness & being in bed made his choking even worse. I think they’re hoping (and he & my mother are too) that once the pneumonia’s cleared up, his swallowing will get better again, but on the whole this isn’t a disease where things get better again.

Thanks.

@kdfrawg Our culture is not awfully accommodating of variation.

//

@kdfrawg And the lights on most of the pedestrian crossings are set so that an able-bodied person walking briskly can just barely get across the road while the traffic’s stopped.

//

@kdfrawg True here too. Some places have them, where there are lots of tourists, but when the street’s a little narrower, or it’s away from the tourist/recreational spots, you’d go a long way between benches.

//

Yikes. I’m way behind on my RSS feed and just reached ’s link on fatbergs.

@kdfrawg That can happen with age too, but MS has had that effect earlier for you. Old towns don’t really work for people with reduced mobility. There are not many places to park, and there are too many steps and assorted other obstacles.
