@kdfrawg Enough to be pretty, without hampering your movements would be ideal.

@kdfrawg Will that be a problem on the roads?

We’re expecting wind and rain. But at least it’s not that dry cold that hurts my nose.

Glad you arrived safely and get to spend some time with your mother.

@kdfrawg When you already have gadgets that can do most things reasonably well, there’s no point in getting another one unless it does something that’s important to you much better than the others.

@kdfrawg They need to do better than that – surely it at least needs to be able to read epub, txt and the like.

//

@kdfrawg And the Sony can only do PDFs? That’s bizarre.

//

@kdfrawg They didn’t seem entirely ready yet, I thought.

I don’t know much about building costs, but the prices make it awfully hard for people to get started — and of course, rental prices are high too. It’s one of many things that’s gone wrong.

I don’t think that’s a requirement here — the main problem is the prices. I was earning £7k and bought a. house for £21k. Three times a starting salary these days wouldn’t get you a house.

Those things are harder now. I bought a house as soon as I started work. I went into the building society to ask about mortgages, and when they asked how long I’d been working, I said, “three weeks.”
