@kdfrawg I expected it to be a Thing for my generation, but my mother’s internet habit took me by surprise. My father was always pretty computer savvy — but is now limited by not being able to use his hands or his eyes.
@sumudu She told me she got a Christmas card from the widower of one of her cousins. She doesn’t know how old he is, but her cousin would have been 96 if she were still alive, and the husband was old enough that he fought in the war. He said he’s slowing down now and only plays nine holes of golf per day.

@matigo The green lights meant the the Airport. Anyway, it turned out that the problem was her iPad had its wifi connection turned off. She wanted the weather forecast to update.
My self-proclaimed technophobe mother phoned last night. No greeting, just, “The green lights are on but the internet isn’t working.” lol
@kdfrawg The CDs in the car are all ones we burned ourselves – even back in those pre-download days we didn’t want to keep the original CDs in the car.
