@kdfrawg Yes. It’s sometimes hard to remember to enjoy the time we have with people and not spoil it by mourning ahead of time.

I heard that a friend of a friend died recently. He’d spent the last 20 years worrying non-stop because he had prostate cancer — and then died of some random mischance that was nothing to do with the cancer. Life is sometimes hard to navigate.

@matigo It sounds as if it’s heading the right way, even if it’s not as quick as you’d like.

@kdfrawg No. I just bought her Christmas present and couldn’t help thinking it might well be the last time.

@matigo Except the ones that are still on the old file system.

@matigo Yes. I need to be ready to drive a few hours in horrible Christmas traffic by Friday. Anyway, I booked Bembo’s dog-sitter for today, so I can have a restful time.

Still achy, but feeling a bit more human today.

@gtwilson That makes sense, but what an awful shock for his family.
