@kdfrawg I think they could. I can’t be sure that they aren’t. The only thing that gives me some hope is that they have more effective ways of making money than that. They just wave shiny things around and I hand my money over.

@kdfrawg Used fivers. It’s the only way.

I can see some more if I press the “i” button.

Oops. It is stored in the app, but they say they aren’t collecting it:

Apple doesn’t save your transaction information. With Apple Pay, your payments are private. Apple Pay doesn’t store the details of your transactions so they can’t be tied back to you. Your most recent purchases are kept in Wallet for your convenience, but that’s as far as it goes.

// @kdfrawg

I don’t think they do. The transaction history isn’t even stored in the Apple Pay app. I have to use my bank’s app to see them.

You’d have liked the picture they showed of someone waving a huge MacBook at a pay desk. But you’ll be able to use it for online shopping, which is more use. My phone can do it, but I only ever use it in the coffee shop.

@kdfrawg And the credit card companies.

//

@kdfrawg Lots of mentions of China. Lots of women on the stage. Keen to emphasise privacy & security. Large print emoji selection — is that for us oldies?

You can use your watch to unlock your Mac from sleep, if you have one of each. I’m not sure if you can use a phone. You can use a phone to authorise Apple Pay on the Mac.

@kdfrawg There’s a lot of stuff opened to developers, like maps & Siri, that will take a while to filter through.

@kdfrawg I was cooking dinner at the same time, so I missed some bits.
