@kdfrawg There was something in last night’s presentation about picking up calls from your work number on your iPhone, but I don’t know if it was just for enterprise customers.

You’re ok, you’re already here. Grandfathers’ rights.

I think it involves actually talking to people. With no intervening screen.

You could allow new members who haven’t been invited, as long as they submit a full CV to be approved by the committee. We could get Larry & the pedants to check it over.

I like to hang out in small unfrequented corners of the internet. There are a few people I’d like to see over here, but they all seem to busy having real lives.

// @kdfrawg

@kdfrawg Do you know when that is?

I was hoping that bit was optional. I usually just keep a few things like photos I’ve resized & de-exiffed on the desktop, so I don’t really care about that. Could be handy once in a while, but not a big thing.

I read that — @kdfrawg linked to it on Plurk. :)

@kdfrawg I didn’t catch anything about that in the presentation. I’m not sure if it happened while I was running the mincer or if they didn’t talk about it. They focussed a lot on things like messages. It’s the public-facing part of the geeky conference, so they may have thought it wasn’t the place to talk about filing systems. The only bit I remember was about access to the desktop/documents from iOS and a thing for bunging some of your stuff into the cloud to save local storage space.

I think they’re keen to promote themselves as respecting privacy. Sorry about your yucky day. Some days go that way! :(
