@kdfrawg Things that I’m likely to use: probably Apple Pay, shared clipboard, being able to access desktop files on iOS (not sure if you can pick other places too or not). Better predictive text could be useful. Quicker access to the camera from the lock screen.

I can’t remember all the stuff.

//

I did.

Did you manage to find a SIM?

@kdfrawg Yes, that sounds like their sort of habitat.

@kdfrawg They’re moving inland here. A friend had her Cornish pasty snatched out of her hand from a pavement café. All the bins have posters in a dozen languages telling people not to feed the gulls, but it’s hard to stop them helping themselves.

//

I have friends who hate Facebook with a passion and use WhatsApp all the time.

//

They’ve probably already got mine from some friend or other who generously shared their address book with Facebook, but I’m still not going to give them any more of my data than I can help.

It’s a tricky business, lifting taboos. The ones that say you can’t kill everyone who annoys you are best left in place. Some of the others could be got rid of entirely & most are in the middle. Stuff you might not do in the office or on the bus, but at home, or with friends would be fine.

//

It doesn’t give you ideas that weren’t there before though. I think the problem is that if you have no ideas and are barely socialised, drinking alcohol isn’t going to improve things. Context and quantity make all the difference.

When I first worked at the power station, with an office that overlooked the Bristol Channel, I quite liked the sound of the gulls. It reminded me of being on holiday, because that was the only time I’d heard it before. It’s sort of lost its charm over the years.
