@phoneboy The main one looked like the Tower of Babel to me. I’m probably just too old and grumpy for all this stuff.

@phoneboy It seems a lot more obvious with email.
Is Mastodon just software that can be run in different places like bulletin boards? I’ll read the Medium article, but so far, it seems to be demanding a lot up front without giving me much clue as to why I should bother.

@phoneboy I pretty much give up on anything that goes on about instances without explaining clearly what they are, whether average users need to have them and if so, how they should go about it. It clearly isn’t aimed at me.

@jvk It is! I have managed to hold off from going too far into the hand made paints because they provide very little information about the pigments they use and how lightfast they are. I did get some of their indigo ink though. I know that isn’t at all lightfast, so I’ll just have to use it in sketchbooks & not on anything that will be out in the open much.
@jvk No, I’ve not shopped there much since they changed their site design a while back. It was http://www.turnersartshop.co.uk They don’t have anything like Jackson’s range, but I wanted to have a play with some of the Seymour bits and pieces.
@japchap Evernote does at least export to xml or some such thing, and a number of other apps will import from Evernote so you can get the contents in their original formats without having to jump through too many hoops. I pulled all my Evernote stuff into DevonThink.

@kdfrawg Well, I like sardines, but probably not on a pizza with pineapple and black pudding.

We picked up some nice goodies from the farmers’ market this morning, but for some reason I was completely wiped out by the end of it.
