It means I can’t order anything for delivery on a day when I’ll be walking the dog. That’s a bit limiting. Especially when the “Out for delivery” email comes at about the same time as the delivery, and before that I don’t know which day they’re going to deliver.

They’re not utterly impossible, just worse than most of the alternatives, so they become last resort rather than default choice.

There are some people working on it though. Did you see the Horizon (I think) programme that Michael Mosley did a couple of years ago? He interviewed quite a few researchers — who’ve done more research since then.
