@kdfrawg Yes, I’ll compare them when I do that.

//

@kdfrawg Yes, I think I’ll go for it. It’ll end up around £150. I don’t really want to buy a new computer yet, so that seems worthwhile. It doesn’t feel old enough to give up on yet. Whatever Apple think.

//

@kdfrawg It’s not totally clear. Some of the ones listed specified that they were 3rd party, and this one didn’t, so it might be.

//

@kdfrawg I had to buy a screwdriver for it, and I ordered some replacement feet, because one of the original ones fell off. It’ll be good as new!

//

@kdfrawg Ah! I thought it was just a link to the part. Yes, I had seen their video. It looks pretty straightforward. I changed the HD a while back & this doesn’t look much different.

//

@kdfrawg They won’t ship batteries overseas, &'the EU sit doesn’t have them, but I found one in the UK.

//

Well spotted!

// @kdfrawg

@kdfrawg Found one in the UK. Now I need to watch a video & see how hard it looks.

Often I use Cappuccino because I’m on the MBP, but ”Run on MacOS“ is probably not a planned feature!

//

Oh. They have an EU site, but it doesn’t list any batteries for the 17” MBP.

iFixit is not able to ship batteries internationally or outside the contiguous US at this time.
