That was interesting. It did move when I pushed the edge. I also took out the little wall at the side of the HD to give me a bit more room to push the battery connector in firmly. Lets see how that goes.

Ah. That big block of eight things looks like a possible candidate. Anyway, better take the lid off again.

No. That might be worth trying. If I can find it…

Sigh. The shift key is much better now. The computer ran for about 30s before turning itself off. I’m wondering about putting the old battery back in.

Here we go again…

Excellent.

Good luck!

@kdfrawg It doesn’t do it (or hasn’t yet) when it’s plugged in.

@kdfrawg Exactly. Springers and working cocker spaniels need a lot of exercise! Another factor if you have limited mobility is that you wouldn’t want the kind of dog that’s prone to having useless recall and heading for the hills at every opportunity. There are no guarantees on that, of course, but some breeds seem particularly given to it.

Poodles are very clever and not excessively active — but they do need regular grooming. We meet a woman in the park who rides a mobility scooter and has a toy poodle who just hops on the footplate when it’s time to go home.
