@kdfrawg Ouch. Not something you want to do casually!

//

@kdfrawg I was thinking 6.66 days.

Provisionally.

So, I gave the RAM a shove, and haven’t had any abrupt shutdowns since ( is provisionally a genius). It locked up waking up from sleep — has done that a couple of times over the last few days — so I read around a bit and did an SMC reset.

Don’t you love the way it just works?

That’s not setting a very high standard!

//

No crashes for an hour and a half. How long till it’s safe to celebrate?

@kdfrawg That seems to happen a lot with Lymes. PSP is often misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s, but as there’s no treatment for it anyway, it doesn’t make that much difference — except you’d probably be better off not being fed high doses of Parkinson’s drugs that aren’t going to do you any good and are so addictive that they won’t stop giving them even when they know they’re not helping.

//

Sounds like the same sort of thing as my father’s. His is PSP, but there are other Parkinson-like nasties, I think. :(

Well, it’s managed more than a few seconds this time.

I used another of my set of replacement feet. Hope this one sticks on properly. They shift key is working properly now. That’s progress. If it can just run steadily…

If was right about the RAM, it might have been nothing to do with the battery at all.
