@matigo I enjoy them. But I’m not really fluent in anything but English. I can hold a conversation in French, but there’ll be a lot of mistakes.

@matigo I want to learn Italian (I did a few evening classes once & have been there for some holidays, so I know a very little). Less practically, I’m tempted by Catalan.

@whoisashygirl Poor girl! Bemo’s foot seems a lot better now. We’re taking him to the vet tomorrow to check if there is anything stuck there. And I’ve ordered some clippers in the hope that if his paws are more closely trimmed, we’ll be able to keep a better check on things.

@JeremyCherfas Just to make it even more aggravating, they were only actually subsidising his care for about three weeks, and I’d already paid for that time, so had to pay twice, then reclaim the excess from the care home. And then the NHS took over for three weeks (for which I had to make a couple of trips up there and many phone calls and forms), then he died, so there was an awful lot of administrative overhead for very little benefit.

@hazardwarning Hugs. I’m still trying to deal with the council who were “helping” fund his care. I told them to send their bill to the solitors, so they sent me a final demand. I rang them again and they said the final demand (dated 10 days after my original phone call) had already gone out when I rang. They then asked me if they had sent any other bills to the solicitors. How would I know? I just suggested that as he’s dead, they shouldn’t still be charging for his care. Just useless.
@hazardwarning I struggle to understand that some people actually like such events.
