Luckily he doesn’t try to lick his paw if there’s anything more interesting in view, so we took the cone off for a short pavement walk this morning.

Yum.

He doesn’t like wearing a cone.

:( Just had to take Bembo to the vet’s. He has an inflamed paw. The vet thinks it was probably a seed or something.

Oops.

Looks like it’s pretty readily available. It’s a bit dull having to plan all your time out in advance when you’re on holiday, but might be worth it for one or two main things.

So you can only do it if you take a tour? Not if you just want to wander around on your own? I wish they’d make a separate entrance for the Sisteen Chapel, then everybody would go there, and the rest of it would be nice and peaceful.

I didn’t know you could do that (I knew about guided tours, but not the queue jumping tickets). Maybe they’ve been introduced since my last visit — which was several years ago.

It’s been a very long time since I went in the Vatican museums. I just can’t face the queues. I did find the museum interesting when I went though.

I’ve only been in the gallery. There’s a very nice Valasquez, but mainly it’s just a lot quieter and more relaxing than the big name places.
