@hazardwarning I’ll sulk if it arrives before mine!

@kdfrawg It is fun, but in artistic terms I’m torn on the usefulness. I actually like to work with a fairly narrow range of stuff, but I don't know how you find the ones you like without trying a lot of other things. I need to be better about getting rid of the ones I don't take to.

@phoneboy Fasting seems like a really useful technique. Simple, effective, and cheap! It’ll never catch on.
// @kdfrawg
@kdfrawg So ungrateful of it! I always end up with sore hands when I’ve overdone the bread and pastries. Bodies are such temperamental machines.

@kdfrawg It’s a bit of a funny looking thing — long and tapered like the pens they used to have attached to the counter in banks, and obviously at that price the nib isn’t made out of anything fancy, but it’s a very well behaved pen. You can use it over paint, or on watercolour paper, leave it lying in your bag for weeks, and it just writes a nice smooth thin line with no fuss.

@kdfrawg I did a sketch in brown ink, then tried to use a blue wash, but just managed an orange one as the ink spread itself all over the page. I was trying to copy Canaletto. Sadly, not only did the ink not cooperate, but my sketching isn’t as good as his.
// @hazardwarning
@kdfrawg I’m sure I had a bottle of their brown once, but I don’t know if I ever got round to using it, or if I still have it. I’d better look.

@jextxadore Nice to get it all done in one trip — and keeping in touch with the family is probably good even if it's sometimes rather trying.
