28-30 here over the next few days, but so far it’s only 23 today. Walking isn’t an issue yet, though I was thinking of taking Bembo outside the front door today. Just enough to have a sniff around the outside world a bit, not really walking more than a few feet.

Good luck with the vet visit! The place where B had the operations didn’t let people inside, but our local vet allows one human into what was the waiting area. They do any necessary talking there, then take the animal into the treatment room on its own. It seems like a reasonable compromise.

The evaporative cooler sounds like a good idea — and my preferred room temperature is rather warmer than 16! I have a very narrow comfort range.

2014. Are you in Hong Kong now?

Speaking of things that happened a long time ago, I just came across some photos of the time we met up in Paris!

We’re a bit cooler — max for today looks like 28, but still too hot for me!

It’s been a few weeks since Bembo had a walk. Normally in this weather I’d go out early. And we have a cool coat that helps if it’s really hot. It fits just around his chest area and you damp it by running it under the tap then squeezing the excess out. We haven’t needed it very often.

I wore a mask for the first time today for Bembo’s vet visit. They are now letting one person + animal at a time into the waiting room.

We’ve been staying at home apart from vet visits — and they’ve been rearanged to maintain social distancing. We hope he’ll be fine eventually, but it’ll take a few months to get back to more or less normal.
