@hazardwarning 28-30 here over the next few days, but so far it’s only 23 today. Walking isn’t an issue yet, though I was thinking of taking Bembo outside the front door today. Just enough to have a sniff around the outside world a bit, not really walking more than a few feet.
Good luck with the vet visit! The place where B had the operations didn’t let people inside, but our local vet allows one human into what was the waiting area. They do any necessary talking there, then take the animal into the treatment room on its own. It seems like a reasonable compromise.
The evaporative cooler sounds like a good idea — and my preferred room temperature is rather warmer than 16! I have a very narrow comfort range.
