For a moment, I thought about making a Twitter account just to keep tabs on a few apps. Then I remembered how Twitter used their app to check what you had installed on your phone, and how Apple integrated Twitter into iOS.

Ah. I don’t have a TV. That must be why I never do any ironing.

I had to open the Dictionary app to find out that the dictionaries weren’t downloaded. Before that, if I turned off spotlight suggestions I just got no results at all, with no clue as to why there was nothing there.

Ironing! Noooooo!

It seems there were two issues. You have to turn off spotlight suggestions for look up in the preferences. I also needed to download my dictionaries again. The combination meant that I got none of the information I wanted, and a load that I didn’t.

I haven’t found out how to sort it out yet (although I was out walking the dog for the last hour or two, so haven’t spent long trying).

Most aren’t. In any case they’re not what I want when I tap on a word to get its definition.

Have they taken away the ability to look up definitions in Sierra. I used to tap on a word and get its meaning. Now I get a list of youtube videos. There must be somewhere I can turn that back to something useful!

Or maybe people who track think that as they’re doing their exercise they don’t need to bother so much about diet, which is a much bigger factor in weight loss than exercise.
