Now I get breakfast.

We buy unpasteurised Jersey milk from a man who has a stall at the farmers’ market here — but he delivers too, so we get it delivered on a Thursday morning. It reduces the amount we have to carry when we go shopping. We get 2 L of milk, a tub of yogurt, and a tub of Jersey cream.

I’m getting hungry, but we don’t usually have breakfast till after we’ve been to the farmers’ market on Saturdays.

Yes. Not long. It’s a new phase of life for all of you.

That’ll feel strange. To be going home without your daughter.

Are you still in London?

I haven’t managed quite that long, but I do try to stay away.
