@kdfrawg That’s the one.

I’m not really concerned about how long the battery lasts, because I’m generally at home anyway. I just don’t want the battery leaking or anything.

I’m on 458 and 68%.

My first one was done that way. In fact, I wanted a new HD too & the genius said that if I popped down the road to Tandy or somewhere & bought one he’d fit it at the same time & it would be much cheaper than getting an Apple one, so I did that. Later on the replacement drive died, so I fitted an SSD.

I suspect components don’t like the temperatures this machine runs at.

The System Information says I should service it. Maybe battery no. 3 is on the way…

I’ve used Fruit Juice since my MBP’s battery was new. It’s supposed to hold 80% of its capacity for 1,000 charge cycles. It’s done fewer than half that many cycles and had less than 70% of the original capacity left. This is its second battery. The first one went the same way.

I don’t remember having lockers at all.

To be the one of hundreds of thousands of tree seeds that survived…

One might not articulate it as such, but there are probably chemical responses to stress in most life forms, aren’t there?

Yes, it’s pretty dangerous out there. I could be a bacterium in a rock, I suppose. That might be more peaceful.
