@kdfrawg And I’m used to the 17” screen. I might not want to go to something that’s barely bigger than my iPad. I might end up staying with the MBP.
@kdfrawg I don’t edit my photos very much. Tiny tweaks sometimes & a bit of cropping are about the extent of it. And I occasionally play at editing a video, but nothing longer than two or three minutes, and not at all often. I do like to have some photos & music stored locally, but I suppose the Airs can have bigger HDs too. My current on is 1 TB. I’d probably want 2 on a new machine.
@kdfrawg I’m half wondering whether to go the other way. Part of the reason for getting the MBP was for it to last longer, but if the hardware conks out, there’s not much point in having a higher spec than I need for current use.
@kdfrawg I can change backwards and forwards every month or so and feel as if I’m actually doing something until our finances and Apple’s laptop offerings align propitiously.
So, I finally put the old battery back in the MBP. Let’s see if that makes it happier.
I’m looking at houses in France on the basis that if civilisation collapses, at least I won’t have to survive on turnips.
