@larand No. I’m happy to wear cotton and linen in the summer, but thicker cotton clothes get very heavy and aren’t anything like as warm as wool.

@larand I prefer natural fabrics, but I’m allergic to wool & haven’t found a natural fibre alternative. I can wear some wool for a little while, but I can’t wear a woollen jumper or cardigan all day long.

@larand I wouldn’t necessarily worry about the nubuck — that just gets watermarks — but cork soles wouldn’t handle it well. I have some cork soled slippers and they don’t respond well when I wander around on my parents’ wet lawn in them.
@tomas I used to sew a lot. It’s one of the things that dropped by the wayside for some reason — when I was doing a lot of commuting, I think. Also, when I stopped living alone, so I couldn’t just leave large swathes of fabric spread around the floor for days.

@kdfrawg That’s a good way to do it. I mainly leave it for later, then don’t get round to it till I’m drowning.
@kdfrawg I’m getting through them. Lots of recipes in there. Ginger biscuits, cinnamon buns, rhubarb fool, ricciarelli.
I’m trying to clear down my excessive number of tabs in Safari. Far too many about nasty diseases. :(
@tomas It’s not really the season for it! Maybe next winter.
