@kdfrawg I saw a really interesting snippet of video in which Jason Fung (a nephrologist) was arguing that the problem is insulin resistance and that excess BG is only a symptom. He argued that drugs purely targeting the symptom aren’t really helping.

@kdfrawg I suppose they all have their favourite bêtes noires.

@kdfrawg I can manage on two meals, though three is better, but if I eat less often than that I feel very fragile & even more overwhelmed than usual by stressful things like having to talk to people, or track down a plumber.

//

If you’re taking medications to reduce BG, you definitely need to keep an eye on that. I don’t actually have diabetes, just, like a good chunk of the population of both our countries, need to watch my weight sometimes.

@kdfrawg Mr I usually does that. More if he wants to lose weight.

//

I find it very interesting, although I feel terrible if I fast, so I don’t actually do it beyond missing breakfast once in a while.

That’s good! Have you come across Jason Fung? He writes quite a bit about fasting and diabetes.

@kdfrawg I try to dig my way out.

@kdfrawg I wish I were. I collect clutter till I drown in it.

@kdfrawg That’s probably why you’ve had a much more exciting life than me.
