@ukhaiku Hello! Mostly watching the country self-destruct in between attending funerals. Also buying comfort stationery and taking the dog out in the rain (I like going out in the rain).
@variablepulserate It sounds likely the daughter would involve him in Christmas plans, but that leaves a lot of other empty days.
@variablepulserate That’ll be hard. My brother’s in that position, but he’s younger, and has children and grandchildren around.
@matigo I think our cherry tree died during the hot spell in the summer. The leaves are just hanging dead on the branches, as they’ve been since August.
@matigo We have a couple of rowans that have pink berries, and a few evergreen shrubs. And bamboo, so there’s plenty of plant life still around. The wisteria hasn’t dropped all its leaves yet either, but they’re not so pretty.
