My school offered a computing course. Those who were interested went on a bus to a local Tech, where we coloured in the boxes on a form to request punched cards. The next week we all piled into the bus again, picked up our cards, and fed them into the computer. The following week we were able to pick up the output. Unless we’d made a mistake. In that case, it was back to colouring cards in. We didn’t get very far in our six week course.

And a way to reply to a post without losing your place in the stream. Are you sure you have time for the day job?

Oops. . My finger got stuck on alternating es.

You’d have to ask @jeremeycherfas. He’s probably done a podcast about it.

I don’t know what the diet is like in Paraguay.

Once the sugar and starch have been digested, there’s no difference between doughnuts and a grain & fruit diet. Except that the grain and fruit would have other nutrients attached and wouldn’t have been fried in rancid polyunsaturated oil.

Good luck with the new direction!

Bembo would.
