The rate of growth at ADN might not have been what its founders hoped, but it was much faster than here. I think they had something like 10,000 people when they reached the funding deadline, which was only a week or two from opening up Alpha. At that point, you had quite a pool of people, all eager early adopters, and all had paid, so while there might have been some who didn’t play well with others, there was no spam, and relatively few trolls.

Sounds very nice!

Yes, it keeps the place green.

It’s cold, wet & blustery here. We just got back from our walk before the rain started.

@height8 Sorry, I’ve got visitors, so haven’t seen much of the conversation here for a few days. I only just happened to look at the mentions tab. No, we decided not to bother replacing the dead iPad — we have one each & beyond that it just becomes a chore looking after the batteries. Thanks for thinking of me though. We had just had this dicussion when deciding whether to sell my iPad Mini 2 (we kept it for the visitors to play on this week & it’s being sold next week).

Yes, we have a Pavoni. It’s not terribly portable though. Didn’t you get an espresso thing recently?

Usually espresso (sometimes straight, often with a little milk). Occasionally French press or Aeropress.

It’s my favourite.

They’ve just announced an update and a switch to monthly — but I think the current versions will work till an OS update breaks them.

And mine, but I don’t feel like paying a monthly fee for it.
