If you live in a Facebook world it probably doesn’t seem any odder than expecting people to have email.

You have to join Facebook to buy anything? That’s weird.

@kdfrawg Quite a substantial one!

@kdfrawg The best we can hope is to be able to muster enough grace and courage to deal with it.

It is.

@kdfrawg I have wondered the same thing, but have not found an answer.

@kdfrawg Thanks. My uncle has a blocked colostomy, so it might be straightforward to sort out, but even if it is, it’s hard on all of them.

We’d already planned to visit next weekend. For now, we’ll stick to that. Now my uncle’s in hospital, things are just as normal for her. My brother lives nearby, so she sent him & his wife to visit this evening.

My poor mother! She’s already worn out looking after my father. Her older (84) brother came on Monday to stay for a few days, and yesterday started being ill, so after being awake half the night with him, she sent for an ambulance and had him taken to hospital this morning. Now she feels guilty because she can’t leave my father to go and visit him.

@kdfrawg Yes, all of that. Then there are some people who are friendly and kind, and you have to stick with the messy complexity instead of just running away from it all.
