@kdfrawg The ones that really annoy me are the ones that charge you a subscription and then show you adverts as well. And put their logo all over the screen when the programmes are on. (Needless to say, we don’t spend our money on them, but my parents do.)

If it has a receiver, yes. At least, that’s what the rule used to be. In fact, the Betamax VCR might have a receiver, so you’d need a license to have that even if you didn’t have a TV.
