@kdfrawg We have five stories (it’s not enormous, just that all the rooms are one on top another). But yes, if you can get about, being able to walk to shops and restaurants, or trains, is very convenient.

@kdfrawg The house is all vertical. The stairs will be a problem before walking a couple of hundred yards becomes an issue. We want to move before any of it is a problem, but for now, it’s convenient to have good rail access to London.

Well, not actual phone calls, but data transfer.

// @kdfrawg

I do when I travel, but that’s only for a week or two of holiday each year.

// @kdfrawg

@kdfrawg I am determined that our next house will be somewhere with proper provision for a car.

@kdfrawg Well, some people like to make phone calls, I believe. Or connect to data services outside.

//

@kdfrawg Yes, and of course all the houses were built way before there were cars, and they’re all terraced, so there’s nowhere to put a garage. Just to make it even more fun, we live on a pedestrian street, so you can’t get a vehicle up to the house anyway.

I think I’ll wait — I don’t want to try anything too ambitious on my parents’ useless wifi.

// @kdfrawg

@kdfrawg Ah. Strange.

//

@kdfrawg 300 yards, maybe.
