@kdfrawg I’m not sure what’s in dirty rice. Ours was fennel-flavoured sausage with risotto rice (all the liquid in at the start, not a bit at a time like risotto). Onion, butter, white wine, stock, then parmesan, pepper & lots of parsley at the end.
@larand We have one of those for my father, but as he’s now at a point where it’s barely doable to get him in and out of the car, it’s not so useful.

@kdfrawg I wouldn’t call it your fault. It’s not as if it’s your choice, or a result of your actions.
@kdfrawg As long as there are alternative venues and means of transport, that works!
@kdfrawg I had coffee in a Krispy Kreme place once. I was shocked. Starbucks is bad enough!
@kdfrawg You see a few mobility scooters around — one of the dog walkers we meet regularly uses one. They’re not so practical if you have to drive into town though, since I imagine lifting one in and out of a car would be a bit of a performance.
@kdfrawg There are another two or three restaurants within the same range, but nowhere at all to park. Out of town pubs or country house hotels are much better for parking. Coffee places are tricky though, as they’re rare outside towns.
