@kdfrawg I think it would be:

  • to make something visually appealing;
  • to digest the events of the day;
  • to make something I can look back on later & remember what it was like now.

It may not need to be every single day, but if it isn’t at least most days, it risks not happening at all.

I may not need to do those things, in which case it’s just clutter.

//

@kdfrawg Now where have I seen that before?

It’s a matter of tweaking the medium and the technique until I find something that is aesthetically pleasing to me and serves some useful purpose — either as a way of processing experiences, or letting me revisit them later. I’m not trying to leave a record of my life for posterity or anything like that.

@kdfrawg Then they both decided it was time to focus on the important things.

… but still didn’t get the ball back.

@kdfrawg Bembo stole a puppy’s ball…

It’s true. Even as I was writing my post, I was thinking that a list can be quite evocative if it’s well done. So far, my entries haven’t been.

Sleep well.

@kdfrawg Then I just need to work on conveying some distinction between the various Bembo days.

@kdfrawg I think a lot of them are one man businesses who don’t want to deal with the hassle of employees. One that I spoke to said he’d taken on a trainee who then started moonlighting, using his name & he ended up with lots of people complaining to him & expecting him to fix their shoddy installations. He decided he wasn’t going to bother with any more trainees.
