@hazardwarning I only listen to radio three, or recorded music & we don’t have a TV. It’s the internet I need to handle carefully.

@kdfrawg I’ve been doing a bit too much of that for the last few months. It hasn’t helped either me or the situation. I can stay adequately informed with a lot less contact. It’s hard to avoid though, even if I resist the lure of the news sites.
@hazardwarning Mr I is at a meeting today, so I don’t have to worry about coffee & lunch, and with B spending the day with his dog-sitter, I don’t have to do walks either. So far, I haven’t managed to do anything I like, but I’ve spoiled a few sheets of paper.
@hazardwarning That’s the plan. Actually, these days it’s not his presence that stops me painting, but that by the time we’ve done the morning and afternoon walks & had coffee & lunch, there’s barely any time available while it’s light.
I think I need to leave social media alone for a while. I need to limit how much time I spend reading about politics.
@ukhaiku I agree that it’s the right decision (and weird that some of the people who banged on about returning to parliamentary sovereignty are the ones opposed to it), but I suspect we’re now in such a mess that it will take decades to sort out, if it can be done at all. Every time I look at a news site, I end up going off and searching for remote cottages in Scotland or Ireland.
