@kdfrawg It happens.

//

Life was so much simpler when the paper shop delivered a copy to my door & I spread it over my desk at lunchtime to stop me seeing (or dropping crumbs on) my work while I ate my lunch.

//

Yes, in the end, having a day that makes you feel a bit better is pretty good.

So many rabbit holes!

//

Well, I didn’t do all the reading I’d planned, didn’t much like any of the painting I did, didn’t even manage to stay away from the Guardian web site for a whole day, and ate too many biscuits, but I did at least get some painting done, and had a real fire keeping me warm. I feel better than I did before my day off.

Most of it’s my own fault for getting swept up in reading the blow by blow accounts after the EU referendum, when the PM resigned & they were picking a new one… and then not stopping, but drifting straight into your election news. I just need to break the habit of checking on this stuff or clicking on links to it.

//

I’m not planning on leaving, just keeping a bit of a low profile when things get too political.

//

@kdfrawg Exactly.

//

@kdfrawg I hope they’ll tire of it soon.
