@kdfrawg I believe allergies & asthma have increased a lot.
@kdfrawg I think the mental deficiencies aren’t very severe, but they combine with physical ones that just keep progressing, so you never really get chance to establish a new status quo for more than a few months. It seems fast enough to feel relentless, but slow enough to drag out the process. It’s supposedly rare, but I wonder if it’s increasing, or just being better diagnosed.
@indigo Diseases like that are so disheartening! I have learned to live with physical problems, but I don't think I could manage with severe mental deficiencies.
@kdfrawg She’s not only had an interesting life, but she’s a fun, entertaining person too. Sadly, one of the others has recently been diagnosed with PSP (the same as my father) and over the last few months has gone from being an active participant in the discussions to just sitting watching, because keeping up with a fast-moving conversation gets too hard.
@kdfrawg There are some interesting people about! The Swiss woman I was having coffee with this morning (the French-speaking group) was talking about how her grandparents dragged her to visit Pablo Casals in Prades when she was a child.
