@kdfrawg I left when I went to University, and then the job I found was a couple of hundred miles away, so I never really went back. I wasn’t specifically trying to get away from them, although I do actually prefer a little distance!

@jws The rest of the family are reasonably close together — I’m the one who moved away. She & my brother have two married children nearby as well as my parents, though my parents aren’t in a position to offer practical assistance.

Sister in law’s scans show breast cancer has spread to her lungs. Bone scan next. :( So hard, when she’s just got new grandchildren she wants to see growing up.
