@hazardwarning The average with secondary breast cancer is about two years, but some live much longer. Somewhere between 10 & 20% make it longer than five years. I don’t think they attempt to eradicate the cancer at this stage, just to make the progression as slow as possible, and to minimise pain.
@hazardwarning Yes, my brother’s wife. Still having assorted scans to assess the extent of it & determine treatment. It appears it’s in bones and lungs though, so not looking great.
@jextxadore I hated the way it felt like an interminable exam. So I went back to reading real things too, with some conversations when I can.
