@kdfrawg Yes, and I don’t know what you take home in the way of equipment, if anything. I should know how it’s going by midweek, so I can make arrangements if I need to. The staff at the venue could probably help.

@kdfrawg I read an article recently that was aimed at the families & friends of people with cancer & changing tastes was one of the things it mentioned.

@kdfrawg Possibly, though I might need to enlist local help, because the thing finishes on Sunday & I leave Monday morning, so there won’t be a lot of chance to get to a Post Office. I’ll take the bigger bag anyway — it’s not that big — and ship the work home if it’s very heavy/bulky.

@kdfrawg Ah. That’s probably it. I don’t mind lecture style teaching, but not for calligraphy. I suppose I’ll have to take my larger cabin bag to allow for bringing my work home. The small one is pretty stuffed just with clothes.

@kdfrawg There’s an Italian (woman) and a Japanese (man). They do about half each — alternating mornings and afternoons. There’s a maximum group size of 15, so it will be fairly personal.

@kdfrawg I’ve ordered Japanese teacher’s book, so I’ll get a preview of his teaching approach. The thing is called a workshop rather than a course. Not sure if there’s a real difference.

@kdfrawg A good prospect of rainy weather, and everything! The calligraphy part does look like my sort of thing, though I’ve never done any kind of group art activity (since school), so I’m not quite sure how that will work out.

There will be flatbread with tea.

@kdfrawg I’ll keep in in the repertoire then.

@kdfrawg Yes, it’s all pretty much booked! You can’t book train tickets more than three months in advance, but all the rest is done.
