I’ll do my best — but it’s a few months off yet. Yours is now!

I’m going there for the workshop.

@kdfrawg At this very moment, I understand she’s explaining to the queen how she broke the last government and would like permission to assemble a new, already cracked one, please.

I went once for a few days when I was a student (about 1980) and once for a week in 1999. This visit is for a week, but it’s to attend a calligraphy workshop, so I’ll only have limited sightseeing time. I don’t mind that — I’m not much of a sightseer. Just wandering round the canals and alleyways is the best bit for me.

I wouldn’t drive in London or Paris either.

I’m going to Venice in the autumn, so driving won’t be an issue anyway.

It all looks a bit chaotic — but I’ve only really been to the biggish cities, and roads in cities are chaotic everywhere, I suppose.

Sounds great! I’d like to see more of Italy, but I’ve never fancied driving there, so I’ve haven’t ventured far from the main airports.

Oooh! Have a good trip! How long are you going for? Which part/s?

That would be good.
