More fuel for the network…
@kdfrawg We decided a pure spaniel (cocker or springer) had too much energy for us and for living in town, walking in the park. So we went for a mix that has a lot of their character, but not so much energy. We also wanted to avoid breeds that have major health problems as part of their design, and ones that don’t get on well with people or with other dogs (because there are so many of both here).

@joanna I'm pretty sure we did. Lots of books and internet reading. Mr I walked through the park every day for a year or so to check out the other dogs and see if he could sustain it.

@hazardwarning Well, taking your time is a good idea. Enjoy planning & researching. :)
@hazardwarning We opted for the blank slate of a puppy, but the first few months were really hard work & doing it on your own while trying to work would be exhausting — though some people do it. Do you know what kind you might like?
@joanna Hugs. We went out for lunch today, having realised at the last minute that it’s our wedding anniversary, and we think it’s the 20th, but can’t exactly remember. (That was when I took the photo of Bembo looking soulful in the hope of being slipped a bit of my lunch.)
