Planning a coup, probably.

I leave the room for a minute and come back to find him reading my notebook!

They do a new one every week, don’t they?

I seemed to spend several weeks watching Bembo every second of the day so I could spot the early signs and pop him outside. There wasn’t much warning at first, but the more often they go outside, the less they get the habit of doing it inside. There was a lot of cleaning up for the first couple of weeks though.

Even once he got the idea and would go and sit by the door, he just couldn’t wait more than a few seconds, and he didn’t make any sound, so if you weren’t watching, the doormat got wet. I lived in the kitchen/dining room with him (because it has a tiled floor and access to the garden) for quite a while. We got some bells that hang from the doorknob, so he could ring to go out. That helped. Eventually, he started ringing them just for attention, but by that time he could wait a few minutes when he needed to go out, so we got rid of them.

There haven’t been any inside accidents since he was about four months old.

You probably don’t want to dog-sit till she’s a bit older than that anyway.

Dogs are cute?

I was thinking you might be called on when they go on holiday.

More puppy-sitting opportunities!

Very likely!

They seem to have all the other old OSs available apart from Sierra.
