@hazardwarning I think mine is the last one where the batteries weren’t glued in. It’s a fairly heavy 17” one, and I rarely use it away from home, so the reduced battery life doesn’t bother me, but I don’t want the battery failing and spreading its contents all over the place.
I did buy a replacement one, but the computer kept randomly crashing when I fitted it. When I put the old one back in there was no problem. I suspect the replacement had an iffy connection or something.
