Well, that was strange. nvAlt suddenly started displaying just a handful of my notes. When I looked at the folder, all the notes were still there. I checked the settings and it had changed to storing the notes as a single database rather then as individual text files. I changed it back and everything returned to normal. That was a bit naughty of it.
