@kdfrawg On a related note, I’d been reducing the number of tech blogs that I because they persuade me to buy too many apps that I don’t need. I’d been irritated for a while that the reviews tend to focus exclusively on how great the app is, without any reference to other similar apps. That might be fair for a game, but for a text editor or the like, it’s hopeless to tell me that the new one is great without any indication of how it compares with what’s already on the market.
The recent spate of posts about Apple reducing the bloggers’ cut when they recommend apps did make me wonder. They’re not really motivated to say that you don’t need the new one if they’re on commission!
