@kdfrawg If It’s something new, he needs to check it out for a long time before deciding it’s ok to eat. Last week there were no chicken wings at the farmers market, so ai bought him a turkey wing. I thought it would be close enough not to count as something totally new. I was wrong. He had to carry it round, then put it down and look at it for about two hours before actually eating it — which only took a couple of minutes once he started.
