Shopping 2016-style:

  • Go to manufacturer’s web-site & find the items.
  • Discover that two out of three are available to order online. The third has a “find a local dealer” button instead.
  • Put the dog’s harness & collar on and head into town.
  • The shop says they don’t carry everything.
  • They phone the manufacturer who says it can be ordered by phone.
  • They pass me the phone to take my order.
  • They can’t manage to make it work for the ones that are actually available on their website, but spend ten minutes trying.
  • I order the ones they can do & head home.
  • I find another site that has all of them and finish my shopping there.

Yay, technology!
