@kdfrawg They were in bottles and bags to keep them apart from all that water! (There were only three ink pots actually: the one I took with me for my main fountain pen; a gold one that I bought out there because you can’t do anything in Venice without gold; and a sepia one that was incidental — I bought one of those twisted glass pens as a souvenir, and it came with a little bottle of ink.)
