@kdfrawg No. I took my coat off to go through the scanner, and they indicated that I needed to take my fleece off too. I did that, and had a gilet underneath, so the told me to take that off. After that, they seemed to be telling me I had to remove my shirt, but there were three people talking at the same time in very rapid Italian, so I just stood and looked confused. They then indicated that as I was a poor ignorant foreigner, I could, as a special concession, keep my shirt on.
