We did — with some friends. We don’t normally bother, but teenagers can be very insistent.

Good morning! Happy new year.

@kdfrawg My mother keeps mixing up Bembo and her two year old great grandson.

//

@kdfrawg Wishing it would be over mixed with not wanting the finality of actually losing them.

Thank you. :)

Wonderful.

Yes. He can’t process information as well as he used to, but he knows what’s going on. With some context you can sometimes lip read — if you’ve asked whether he wants tea or coffee, and he has enough energy to answer, you can tell that he’s mouthing “coffee.”

It’s been hard visiting my father. Not only because he’s so helpless now, but because he can’t communicate. Sometimes he’s too tired to try. Other times his mouth moves but there’s no sound. Or just an unintelligible smeared sound.

Internet is off again. Someone is coming on Tuesday morning — I hope they can fix it, because that’s when we’re leaving.

Going to see friends today.

All sounds good!
